“Hormonal imbalances, irritability, joint pain and anxiety all related to the menopause have improved quite markedly for me.”
Vivienne (menopause reflexology)
Women’s Health Reflexology
Specialist Women’s Health Reflexology is used to treat a range of women’s health conditions such PMS, painful or irregular periods, PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, perimenopause and menopause.
Hormone imbalances can effect your every day life by causing insomnia, fatigue, low mood, irritability, loss of concentration and loss of libido. Reflexology can help return the body to it’s natural state of balance.
A course of reflexology works to balance the hormones related to your condition which in turn reduces the associated symptoms. It will leave you feeling deeply relaxed and reduce stress levels.
Depending on your condition, a course of 4 – 8 treatments will be recommended. The reflexology treatments will be tailored to treat your individual condition, whether that is reducing chronic pain of endometriosis, or the feelings of fatigue, brain fog and hot flushes associated with menopause.
A holistic approach is taken to women’s health. You will receive additional support and advice on other factors that can improve your condition, such as sleep health, stress management and nutrition advice. Recommendations can be made for supplements and vitamins to support your individual condition and symptoms.
Within the course of treatments clients report back on the improvements to their mood, sleep and feelings of wellbeing.
Conditions that may benefit from specialist reflexology
Heather is a registered midwife and has undertaken specialist training to support menopause and women’s, hormone related, health conditions. Heather is trained in acupressure and moxibustion and often combines these techniques with reflexology to enhance the treatment.
The Treatment
The first session is for 75 minutes, which includes an initial consultation and a reflexology and acupressure treatment. Follow up sessions last for 1 hour, the treatment is around 50 minutes, which gives us time to discuss any changes to your health and wellbeing.
The therapy room is set in a tranquil, garden log cabin in Walmley, Sutton Coldfield. This purpose built space creates a calming and soothing environment for you to relax.
After a session of reflexology, you may notice that you feel more relaxed, that body tension eases and you experience improved sleep, better mood, increased energy levels, and a sense of general improved wellbeing.
Try to take it easy for an hour or so after reflexology whilst your body starts to respond to this deeply nurturing treatment.
